Debbie Konkle-Parker, PhD, RN, FNP, AACRN, FAAN

This distinctive endowed chair honors the dedication and commitment of Ms. Williamson to providing compassionate and exemplary care to her nephrology patients. Dr. Debbie Konkle-Parker serves as the Harriet G. Williamson Endowed Chair of Population Health at the School of Nursing. The Williamson endowed chair collaborates with doctoral students and faculty from the School of Nursing and the John D. Bower School of Population Health, interdisciplinary researchers, and communities to develop the scholarship of population health, improve health through an ongoing program of research, and teach selected courses or classes in his or her area of expertise.

Dr. Konkle-Parker's research interests are behavioral research related to HIV treatment or prevention, as well as social determinants of health and their impact on people living with HIV. She is also the PI for the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) and Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS) and the Study of Treatment and Reproductive Outcomes (STAR), both cohort studies of individuals living with and at risk for HIV, to longitudinally explore the impact of HIV on people's lives.
